Eczema

Eczema is a skin condition which is characterised by painful skin breakouts. These breakouts cause the skin to become dry, flaky and red. There are other areas that will appear more inflamed, moist and will ooze a clear liquid along with becoming crusty. These affected areas become extremely itchy.

Eczema stems from two main causes, which are Contact dermatitis and Atopic dermatitis. The latter is a skin condition associated with allergies. Contact dermatitis is associated with contact with external agents such as cleaning products, chemicals, latex and certain plants (ivy and oak).

Both these types of dermatitis cause changes in the repair mechanism of skin. The repair process is continuously active but never completed, leaving an over-abundance of new skin cells.

There is a broad range of conditions associated with eczema, ranging from food allergies, asthma, hay fever and hives.

Lack of hydrochloric acid production in the stomach may be a contributing factor. Therefore it is vital to ensure that the digestive system is functioning optimally. Internally the best formula's to use would be the Digest Tincture, which will initiate the stimulation within the gastro-intestinal tract, and Burdock tincture, which is a bitter herb and also an alterative, therefore cleansing the blood and skin as well as stimulating the hydrochloric acid production.
