Fushi is a holistic Health and beauty brand, and has been awarded
recognition as an ethical company. Fushi is committed to the ideals and
practises of environmental responsibility and our policy stands as a reminder of
Fushi’s responsibility to the environment, both locally and globally.
Awareness
Fushi aims to promote good environmental practice and awareness of its
environmental policies to both Fushi customers and Fushi Staff. Our goal is to
minimise the social impact of the company's activities and avoid damage to the
environment through regular reviews of the business. We are committed to a full
and honest disclosure on the results of our environmental assessments and
support the freedom of information regarding the environmental performance of
industry.
Trade Fair
Fushi will always choose to promote the continued development of best trade
practices, through recognised bodies such as 'Fair trade' and the 'Soil
Association' and other expertise in environmental disciplines. Non exploitative
and fair trading is what we will strive towards at all times. We ensure that we
source our ingredients from suppliers who comply with our policies.
Sustainability
We will use renewable resources wherever feasible, at all levels of our
business. We will impart valuable and impartial information and education to
both our staff and our customers on the importance of recycling and conserving
energy and other relevant environmental issues. For every Fushi glass bottle
returned we offer 25p back to our customers. We have many more such initiatives
in the pipeline which we plan to implement within the next 3 months. We will opt
for the selection of environmental friendly options that take into regard the
long term impact of our actions and activities to our already vulnerable
environment.
Ethics
We are against animal testing, and believe that testing cosmetics on animals
is unethical and unnecessary. We also ensure that all our products are suitable
for vegetarians. We are against the use of harsh chemicals and other pollutants
in our products, operations and activities that are detrimental to both our
customers’ health and the environment. Fushi has been approved by the Vegetarian
Society. Fushi recycled all its glass bottles and offer 25p for every bottle
returned by our customer.
Community
Fushi is committed to giving back to Mother Nature. We are soon launch our "Tree for Eternity" project by setting aside a percentage of our profits towards planting trees in the UK and parts of the world where forests are being depleted. We are teaming up with the International Tree Foundation a registered charity that plants trees in the UK and in developing countries. Watch this space as we keep you updated on the first batch of trees we will plant. Help us to the make the world a greener place.
