Memory-Poor

New Page 1

Occasional lapses in memory are a natural part of life that can be experienced at any age. Memory should not necessarily deteriorate with age unless there is an underlying cause such as Alzheimer’s or Dementia. However, most memory lapses are just temporary and may not be associated with an underlying condition. With a nutritious diet and an active lifestyle your memory should remain alert and active until well into old age.

Some reasons for memory loss include- insufficient supply of essential nutrients to the brain, free radical damage caused by oxidation, high cholesterol and triglycerides, insufficient nutrients to make relevant neurotransmitters, menopause or peri-menopause, allergies, candidiasis, stress, thyroid disorders, hypoglycaemia and poor circulation to the brain. Boredom and paying little attention to tasks that need to be remembered can also be a cause for poor memory.

The underlying cause of poor memory should always be investigated. However, improving blood supply to the brain tissue can generally help.

The Alertness Tincture & Tonic have been designed to enhance and improve memory. They contain Ginger and Rosemary, both of which are circulatory stimulants and will thus improve the flow of oxygen to the brain. It also contains Ginkgo, which is known for its memory-enhancing effects.

Essential fatty acids are essential for proper brain function, thus the Flaxseed oil, which contains omega 3, 6 and 9 would be beneficial.
