Fushi has a range of Organic Single Tinctures. These are to be used for
therapeutic purposes.
Each herb has specific actions and properties that are unique and due to the
constituents of the plant.
Tinctures are made by macerating ‘soaking’ herbs in alcohol and water, the
process can take several weeks during which time the active constituents of the
plant dissolve into the alcohol and water, this is then strained of plant
material to produce the liquid tincture.
Tinctures are simple to use, simply put the recommended dose in water or
juice and drink.
The strength of the tincture is shown in the ratio on the bottle.
Dosage of tinctures:
Individual sensitivity to herbs can vary quite a lot, so if an individual is
generally sensitive, it is best to start at a low dosage and build up to the
normal adult dose once you have determined the level of tolerance.
Herbal remedies are most often taken three times a day. This will vary in a
very acute situation e.g. Flu, when you may wish to take the remedy more
frequently. Some herbs may only be consumed once daily, such as the sleep blend
where dosage should be taken half an hour before bed. Directions will be printed
on the label.
The dosage range generally falls between 1-5ml three times daily.
