Neem (Azadirachta indica)
The Neem tree is sacred in India because of its life-protecting properties. Neem is native to India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan growing in tropical and semi-tropical regions, and is said by folk lore to treat 40 different diseases. Each part of Neem is used in medicines, for treating conditions such as skin problems and ulcers, gastrointestinal problems.
