Where does Camellia oil originate from?
Fushi’s Camellia oil is cold pressed from the seeds of camellias (Camellia japonica), a kind of evergreen shrub with shiny leaves and rose-like flowers. The camellia plant grew in East Asia and China and is considered an Asian treasure now being utilised and benefiting the rest of the world. Camellia oil is often referred to as the ‘olive oil of Asia’. Fushi’s Camellia oil originates from South China where it has natively been grown for centuries.
What benefits does this oil have for the skin and hair?
Camellia oil is known to be a multi-purpose moisturiser. This oil is beneficial for the skin as well as the hair. Camellia oil can be used as an emollient for dry skin and may help with acne. This oil is lightly absorbed and can be used a moisturiser to prevent rough, dry spots. For the skin, camellia oil can smooth wrinkles, stretch marks, heal scars, and reduce the appearance of pores. For the hair it adds shine, softness and smoothness. Geishas used to use camellia oil overnight and soaked the oil on their wooden combs, leaving the hair and scalp nourished.
What can camellia oil protect you from?
Camellia oil used on the skin can protect you from damaging effects of UV/environmental exposure and free radicals. This is due to the oil containing vitamins A, B, C, E and Polyphenol, natural antioxidants that protect your skin.

What is the shelf life of Camellia oil?
Fushi’s Camellia oil should be used within 6 months of being opened. Camellia oil is a very stable oil and will last for long periods of time if stored in a cool dark place.
