Product Description

Details

English grown, organic, cold, fresh pressed Hemp seed oil

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is one of the most nutritious oils with numerous health benefits and is renowned as one of nature's superfoods. It is also beneficial for the skin, as it helps to heal skin lesions, balance dry skin and fight skin inflammations. Hemp seed oil comes from the seeds of the hemp plant or Cannabis Sativa. However, it does not contain THC – the primary psychoactive compound in Marijuana. We can guarantee that our Hemp seed oil is 0.00% THC. Even children and babies can consume hemp without this ever being a risk.

Hemp seed oil is a great option for vegans and vegetarians, as it is a way of adding protein to their diet. Adding Hemp oil is a good way to increase your protein intake, and about 25% of the calories from Hemp oil is derived from protein. This oil is also considered to be a complete protein source, something that is very rare in the plant kingdom. Hemp seed oil offers all of the essential amino acids. One of the great things about our UK grown Hemp seed oil is it is a rich natural source of omega-3 which comes from a renewable, sustainable source instead of taking fish from the oceans.

Essential Fatty acids are extremely important for our diet, as well as externally for the skin. EFAs are needed for a healthy immune system, healthy cell structure, proper human growth, proper immune response, healthy hair, scalp and hair retention, healthy liver function, healthy reproductive function, healthy heart and circulation. Hemp seed oil is also one of the only oils that has sufficient levels of Gamma Linoleic Acid (GLA or Omega 9). The high fatty acid profile of omega 3 fats and GLA naturally balance inflammation levels and help to strengthen the immune system.

Fushi’s UK grown Hemp seed oil is made by the slow, cold pressing method. It is important to avoid any kind of oxidation during this process to protect the oils potency and ensure the freshness of the oil. The EFA’s in Hemp seed oil are prone to rancidity and producing a stable oil starts at the production (pressing) stage. We have ensured this oil has had minimal exposure to heat and oxygen through a processs which replaces the ‘air’ in the production environment with pure nitrogen. In addition to this we also ensure that the temperatures are in the range to cold press the oil. These two factors enable Fushi to create a high quality hemp seed oil.

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is freshly made in small batches, sourced from premium English Hemp seed only.

PRESSED FROM FRESH Our oils are pressed from this season’s fresh harvest of seeds, nuts and kernels, to retain quality potency and efficacy.

Recommendations

For maximum freshness it is ideal to consume our Hemp seed oil within eight weeks of opening.

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil can be kept in the refrigerator to retain its freshness for a longer period of time. However, it is more important to keep the oil away from direct sunlight and stored in a cool, dark place. It is also important to keep the bottle tightly closed to prevent oxidation. Fushi's Hemp seed oil can be kept for 12 months if unopened.

Fushi's cold-pressed organic Hemp seed oil is fresh, unrefined and is stored in protective dark glass bottles. Dark glass is important as it prevents oxidation, damage to essential fatty acids and ensures freshness, the best taste and the highest quality. The dark glass bottles  are 100% environmentally friendly and recyclable.

Fushi Wellbeing promises a free replacement if your organic Hemp oil does happen to lose its freshness.

Hemp seed oil for Internal use

The recommended dosage for Fushi's organic Hemp seed oil is 1-2 tablespoons daily.

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil can be taken straight by the tablespoon, or it can be made into a salad dressing, or mixed into smoothies, juices, oats or yogurt.

 Cooking with Hemp seed oil

Fushi’s cold pressed Hemp seed oil has a clean, smooth and nutty taste. This makes the oil a joy to consume and easy to incorporate into everyday foods and cooking routines. Hemp oil has a low smoke point which means that it will smoke and change flavour with anything more than a small amount of heat. You can slightly warm hemp oil, but make sure it doesn’t get hot. Omega 3 is a very sensitive nutrient and it is important when cooking with Hemp oil to not cook at hot temperatures. The organic Hemp oil should be heated gently, like all unsaturated oils. You can definitely not deep fry with it, but it is perfect for salad dressing, drizzled on grains, rice, vegetables or salads, blended into dips like hummus, soups, or used in sauces such as pesto. Hemp oil can also be added to your morning smoothie, which will boost your nutrition with the healthy Essential Fatty acids and omegas.

External use for Hemp seed oil

Hemp seed oil for the skin

Massage into affected area daily. Hemp seed oil can be applied topically to the skin; the omega 3 content has an anti-inflammatory effect and seals in moisture. We recommend applying it just before bedtime to get smoother softer skin or add a teaspoon to a hot bath together with other essential oils.

  • Hemp seed oil also has external benefits for the skin and hair which can improve dry, flaky skin. Hemp oil penetrated the inner layers of the skin and promotes healthy cell growth, which encourages smooth skin.
  • Hemp oil can benefit certain skin conditions such as atopic dermatitis, eczema and other rashes. Eczema is a condition where the skin becomes inflamed and dry, and hemp seed oil has been known to improve these skin conditions.
  • Applying hemp seed oil can relieve dryness and itchiness, reducing the needs for medications. Hemp seed oil’s fatty acids are believed to affect immune responses in the body which helps promote healing.
  • Hemp seed oil is also low on the comedogenic scale, meaning it has a very low chance of blocking pores and causing or irritating acne. Hemp seed oil is similar to our skin’s own natural lipids.

FAQ

Is Fushi’s Hemp seed organic?

Yes, Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is certified organic, which ensures the very best nutritional quality. Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is also GMO free. This is because we do not believe an organism should be modified from what is was intended naturally. At Fushi we believe in being sustainable and ethical and always want the most natural state possible. Hemp does not need heavy chemical loads but it also does most of what the chemicals do by itself. There is no need for herbicides to kill weeds, hemp grows fast so it chokes anything else that tries to grow. There is also no need to use pesticides to kill bugs that harm hemp. The hemp plant produces its own pesticides. This is in the form of THC, CBD and CBNs.

Is Hemp seed the same as Marijuana/Cannabis?

The short answer is no. They are not the same although both Marijuana and Hemp come from the same species of plant called ‘Cannabis Sativa.’

There is no way possible that hemp could ever make you high. Consuming hemp would never give you enough active ingredients to cause a reaction. Our Hemp seed oil is so low in THC and other active ingredients that you could never consume enough to make you high. We can guarantee that our Hemp seed oil is 0.00% THC. Even children and babies can consume hemp without this ever being a risk.

Hemp seed oil comes from the tall growing varieties of cannabis. However, it does not contain THC – the primary psychoactive compound in Marijuana. Although, competing industries still saw Hemp seed oil as a threat. They conducted a campaign against the oil, associating hemp with marijuana, and getting ‘high.’ In 1937 the Marijuana Tax Act passed and hemp began to decline. This made the cultivation of Hemp impossible for farmers. Things have changed drastically since that time, and now Hemp oil and Marijuana are considered two different entities. There are some people that still confuse the two, and in some countries there have even been regulations which want to cap the highest detectable limit of THC in hemp oil. Ingesting Hemp oil or using it on your skin will not cause you to get high. However, it does have massively powerful benefits for your health.

Why is Fushi’s Hemp seed sourced from an English grower?

Fushi’s UK grown Hemp seed oil is freshly made in small batches, sourced from premium English Flaxseed only. We have chosen an English grown source of Hemp seed due to the high quality oil they produce, and believe it is the best quality for the taste of the oil which is highly important.

What does Fushi’s Hemp seed oil taste like?

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil has a smooth, clean, nutty flavour. This makes the oil a joy to consume. Enjoying the health benefits of hemp seed oil does not mean that it can’t be a pleasure. We want to ensure the upmost quality for the benefits and also to enjoy. Fushi’s organic Hemp seed oil can be taken straight by the teaspoon, or it can be made into a salad dressing, or mixed into smoothies, juices, oats or yogurt.

How do you press the Hemp seed?

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is made by the slow, cold pressing method. The seeds are first cleaned from dirt and contamination from other crops. The seed itself contains no levels of THC, but may be contaminated so it is important to make sure the leaf matter has been removed during this stage. The seeds are then cold pressed through separating the oil in a corkscrew process, and the friction can create heat. Minimising heat during this process is very important, and we do this by using a cold press. The highest temperature the oil reaches in 40 degrees and the oil is quickly cooled. The oil then undergoes a filtering process and is further cooled to 20 degrees. This filter removes any suspended solids from the oil and produces a top quality, clear, food grade hemp seed oil. The oil is then drained into a stainless steel storage reservoir.

During the entire pressing process, the oil is flushed with nitrogen gas to remove and displace any oxygen that might be resent, and to remove any suspended molecules rom the oil. The oil is then stored in the stainless steel reservoir until it is needed for packaging, where it is added to bottles, jugs, pails or drums using nitrogen gas to maintain an oxygen free environment. Since the oil is also always produced in a first-press, the cold-pressed hemp seed oil produced using this process can also be considered a virgin oil. It is important to avoid any kind of oxidation during this process to protect the oils potency and ensure the freshness of the oil.

How is Fushi’s Hemp seed oil bottled?

Fushi’s Hemp seed oil is packaged and protected from heat and light in dark glass bottles. These bottles are environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable. The dark glass prevents oxidation, damage to omega 3’s, ensures freshness, the best taste and the highest quality. In terms of storage, Fushi’s Hemp seed oil can be kept in the refrigerator to retain its freshness for a longer period of time. However, it is more important to keep the oil away from direct sunlight and stored in a dark place. It is also important to keep the bottle tightly closed to prevent oxidation. The oil can be kept for 12 months if unopened and for maximum freshness it is ideal to consume within eight weeks of opening.
