As a company, we are passionate about respecting the environment and always seek ways to cut down our ecological footprint. This is why we have established the Fushi 3 R policy - ‘Recycle’, ‘Reuse’, ‘Reduce’ - which guides every step of our production in our London Workshop.
Recycle: After transitioning our toiletries range in glass bottles in 2019, we are very proud to say that all our products now come in recyclable and earth-friendly glass bottles helping retain freshness and efficacy. We aim to recycle as much as we can and currently recycle our glass, plastic containers and card/paper. We recycle our card boxes to create packaging fill for our orders. We recycle printer cartridges. To make recycling easier for customers, we use paper packaging and paper adhesive tape. Our in-house printing uses vegetable inks and non-laminated labels so they can be recycled easily.
Reuse: We reuse paper, packaging materials, and outer boxes which we shred and use to pack our orders. In other words, we aim to reuse as much as possible before it is rendered to rubbish.
Reduce: We do not use excessive packaging and do not create cartons for our oils bottles. 95% of our products come without an outer box. Creating a paperless office and switching off all our equipment, is paramount for us. Our energy consumption is as low as possible and used only for the time required.
July 2020: Introduction of our new refillable body wash & lotion range: Uplifting coconut & frangipani.
April 2020: Introduction of our first handcare range in glass bottles including Stay Safe Herbal Hand Sanitiser, Purifying Neem & Tea Tree hand wash & lotion and Soothing Jasmine & Tulsi hand wash & lotion. The products have also been launched under Go For Zero to enable customers to fill in their empty bottles once finished.
- Launch of Go For Zero, our first Zero Waste range in refill formats allowing customers to refill their empties in stores directly; the range includes Fushi’s bestselling and award-winning haircare, bodycare, handcare and skincare ranges.
- Relaunch of our entire toiletries range in refillable glass bottles making Fushi one of the first brands to move their haircare and bodycare products in glass packaging.
